Born in 1942 and trained at Kingston and Putney Schools of Art, Angela has also designed wine list covers, tapestries, fabrics, ceramics and illustrated two books. In 1976 she discovered the light and landscape of Italy and now lives near Siena surrounded by olive trees and access to a good cappucino. The other major influence on her work has been Africa and she sees the Elephant and its matriarchal way of life as a role model to emulate.
In association with the Born Free Foundation, this exhibition is to raise awareness of the wonders of the elephant and to provide money for desperately needed 'radio collars' to help save their migratory routes.
30% of the proceeds and the auction of "Echo and the Moon" at the exhibition will go directly through Born Free to the Amboseli Elephant Research project in Southern Kenya.
