Original contemporary tennis-themed paintings by tennis legend Martina Navratilova in collaboration with Juraj Kralik.
In 2000, Slovakian artist and graphic arts specialist Juraj Kralik approached tennis great Martina Navratilova with his concept to take the shapes and objects from the tennis court and put them on canvas. Navratilova agreed to join him in the project and the result was the Art Grand Slam – a global exhibition put together across the four mythic Grand Slam locations. Using shapes and objects taken from the very courts themselves, the various works of art encapsulate the impact that a tennis ball makes – in paint!
