Over the past three years, Christopher has created a unique collection of colourful, bold paintings, which capture and reflect the urban environment of various London cityscapes. This body of work has become the largest collection of London-based paintings in both quantity and size.
Taking many of the techniques and the vibrant palette adopted in this collection, his 14 new paintings continue the cityscape theme, illustrating a subtle combination of imaginary and real locations within Greater London.
Christopher is influenced and inspired by: the colour of buildings at different times of the day; the strong perspective derived from architectural details; the combination of rural and urban environments; the mix of modern and traditional architecture; and the River Thames, which he uses as an underlying theme in many paintings.
