Paul Brown - In the City Paul Brown - In the City
Paul Brown decided to become a professional painter while in his early twenties and held his first solo show at St. Mary-Le-Bow Church in The City of London in 1992. His paintings are characterised by his stunning use of light, vibrant use of colour and a classical use of composition.

This exhibition represents his most ambitious collection of work to date and he has spent considerable time studying the varying light effects created at dawn and dusk, particularly in London. He was especially keen to capture London's skyline as it is today as there are over 20 skyscrapers planned for the centre of London over the next ten years. Thus some of the views represented in the exhibition will be a reminder for future generations of how London looked at the beginning of the twenty-first century. Juxtaposed with his atmospheric London works however is also a small collection of Venetian paintings and a selection of English seascapes.
